River Watch

The goals of the program are to develop baseline water quality data, provide hands on real world science opportunities for students, and promote greater citizen awareness and understanding of the watersheds and the role of watershed districts.

River Of Dreams

The goal of this project is to build basin wide awareness and leadership within this unique international watershed through education and engagement of schools and communities.

Red River You & Teachers Institute

Help educators understand and incorporate Red River of the North watershed education activities into their learning outcomes.

Enhance knowledge, skills and motivation of teachers and educators to teach about our local watershed and its importance in the science, history, geography and cultural aspects of the Red River Valley.

Get connected with educational resources available to teach watershed education concepts.

USCT Project

The Understanding the Science Connected to Technology (USCT) project targets information technology (IT) experiences in a comprehensive training program and professional support system for students and teachers. Participants have opportunities to assume leadership roles as citizen volunteers within the context of science and technology in an international watershed basin.

It brings technology, research, education, and leadership to five rural schools in the Red River of the North Watershed. 

GIS

GIS is a system designed for storing, updating, analyzing, displaying, and manipulating information about places on the planet, otherwise known as spatial data. This system uses the power of the computer to answer geographic questions by arranging and displaying all kinds of data about places in maps, charts, and tables.
