Minimum requirement are 10 insects, 10 tree/shrub leaves, and 10 wild flower/grasses. Insects will be mounted with pins on foam board. Students will use books to identify and classify each specimen. They will also develop their own dichotomous key. The plants will be placed in plant presses at school or at home and then preserved between 2 sheets of clear contact paper. Each student can determine if they want to display each plant individually, or as part of one big unit. ID cards will be made for all specimens
