Procedure/ Outline

1. Introduce The Dust Bowl
2. Read together as a class
3. Discuss the portrayal of the human consequences of the dust bowl.
4. Discuss strategies we have developed to buffer ourselves from the effects of weather
5. Discuss other climatic events that have led to human dramas. Choose one to research and write about
