copies or overheads of "Aqua Tunes" page 69 -71; copies or overheads of "Color Me Blue" Body Chart page 65

Time Requirement

Prep: 30 minutes; Activity: 30 minutes 

Procedure/ Outline

Page 67. Warm-up: Ask students why they should drink plenty of water. Have them list ways they think the body uses water. 
Activity:
1. Have students sing "Aqua Tunes" to learn about water's function in the body.
2. Wrap-up: Student summary - perform song for school, video tape. Write their own words to pop song

Modifications /Adaptions/ Extensions

Modify new words to a tune of their choice. Perform at Science Fair

Assessment

1. Students cite ways body uses water
2. Write own song or story about water use in body
3. Provide why water is important

Other Comments

This could be a fun addition to the music class with school "Science Fair."
