Procedure/outline
|
After studying the wetlands - place students in groups of 4-5 to create a plan/sketch of their mural where each group member has 'signed up' what plant, soil part, and animal each will contribute. Using the BIOPAINT, drag scrappers, tips of paint brushes, etc. through the wet paint to create textured papers. Allow to dry. Look at author Eric Carle's artwork of collage to gather ideas on how to create a wetland plan using this style. Cut out the shape of the plant from the painted paper. Have students use their group decided upon sketch to place each student's piece. The end product can look different than the sketch. |
