Objectives

Students will be able to review what they learned about North Dakota wetlands by playing "Jeopardy".

Standards Addressed

Materials Needed

Overhead, wetlands Jeopardy questions, clear overhead sheet, answer sheets

Time Requirement

40-50 minutes

Procedure/outline

Divide students into 4 teams. Review how to play jeopardy & discuss rules. One team member will be allowed to raie their hand & respond to the question. They have 10 seconds to answer. If they are correct, they may choose the next category & question. If answer is wrong, the next team to raise their hands gets an opportunity to respond. A correct answer will be given the respective score (e.g. 10, 20, 30 or 40). An incorrect answer will be deducted from the score. The team with highest score wins. Put the overhead sheet on and be sure to cover the questions with a slide sheet. Let the first team pick a category. Keep track of points.

Modifications/Adaptions/ Extensions

Assign groups to write questions with answers for their own Jeopardy game about North Dakota wetland terminology, location, functions, & the wetland community.
