Objectives

Understand why/when laws have been enacted that influence the environment. Make generalization about Democrats and Republicans in regard to the environment.

Internet access, written resources

Time Requirement

1 week (includes research adn timeline development)

Procedure/outline

Each student will be asked to look back and list instances where government has influenced (pos/neg) the environment. They will list hwat happened, why it happened, and its affect. Ex: 1973 Endangered Species Act. This will be one for the United States mainly but major international events may also be included. A timeline format will be used.
