Objectives

By playing the game, student will discover how pollution affects our water supply.

Standards Addressed

Materials Needed

1 token for each player or group of players. 25 paper clips, coins, or beads. Slips of paper marked 1-4.

Time Requirement

 

Procedure/outline

Draw a number (1-4) formt he bag & move that many spaces. Follow the instructions on the space you land on. Some spaces require the you collect pollution, others allow you to clean up or remove pollution. The winner is the one w/the fewest pollutants in their cup.

Modifications/Adaptions/ Extensions

Have the child make up their own game board using sources & non-source pollution characteristics.

Assessment

Observe how well they play the game and/or discuss the phrase on the game board.
