Procedure/outline
|
Have students brainstorm ways they use water. Discuss ways or situations where water is being wasted. List ways water can be conserved. Have students keep track of their water usage for one week in their journals. Have students make a graph to show their water usage. Have students research water conservation strategies & develop ways they can conserve water. Have students identify 3-5 water conservation habits they can adopt. Do these changes for 1 week. Record water usage. Have students make a graph of water usage using conservation habits.

Compare the two graphs - discuss the differences. Write an editiorial or develop a TV spot that reflects the students views on the importance of water conservation. |
