Procedure/outline
|
1. Various items such as plants, insects, animal homes (if available)...will be collected at the prairie and placed in bags. 2. Student will need to use their 5 senses to describe what is int he bag after choosing a bag. 3. Other students will guess what is inside the bag using the clues. |
Modifications/Adaptions/ Extensions
|
Students can write a description of an item they remember from the prairie. If allowed each student could choose 1 item from the prairie and then share it in groups. |
Assessment
|
If using the extension activity you can assess a descriptive paragraph, grammer-conventions and knowledge of prairie habitat. |
