Time Requirement

2 weeks

Procedure/ Outline

1. Classroom experiment - creation experiment to prove/disprove water is essential for life. Using two plants that look similar, the teacher will pour water into one pot. Each day a student waters this same pot. Daily observation until one starts to wilt and eventually dies.
2. Group discussion about plants needing water. Teacher leads discussion to people needing water.
3. Learn song "We Need Water To Survive"
4. Complete "Why We Need Water" worksheet
