Procedure/ Outline
|
Review the importance of plants to the water cycle and our environment. Make a
list of 10-20 plants that you can identify around your school grounds. Have
students record the plants Latin names from keys. If practical, collect samples.

Have students bring in plants or leaves from their own backyards for
identification |
Assessment

Quizzes could be developed involving the matching of Latin names to common names
and matching names of plants to pictures
